취업이 아주 어렵습니다.

경제가 어려운 요즘 청년실업(youth unemployment)이 심각한 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있는데, 이렇게 일자리를 얻기가 어려운 상황을 영어로는 The job market is tight.라고 합니다.
Tight란 말 대신에 tough, weak, slow와 같은 단어를 쓰기도 하죠. 반대로 상황이 좋은 경우엔 The job market is strong., 상황이 나아지고 있는 경우라면 The job market is improving.과 같은 표현을 씁니다.

A: I’m a process engineer. I’m thinking of moving to L.A. What’s the job market like there? B: On the whole, the job market is very tight in southern California. Attractive positions are     hard to find unless you have rare skills. So, this might not be the best time to make a move     unless you really have to.

    아닐 수 있습니다.
