An attractive young lady sat in her stalled auto, awaiting help. Two young men walked up and volunteered their aid. "I'm out of gas," she lamented. "Could you push me to a gas station?" They readily put their muscles to the rear of the car and rolled it several blocks. After a while, one looked up, exhausted, to see that they had just passed a filling station. "How come you didn't turn in?" he called.

"I never go there," the girl shouted back. "They don't give trading stamps."

    알뜰한 아가씨

    매력적으로 생긴 한 젊은 아가씨가 옴짝달싹 못하게 된 차 안에 앉아 도움을 기다리고 있었다. 두 젊은 남자가 다가가 도와주겠다고 자청했다. “기름이 다 떨어졌어요.” 아가씨가 애처롭게 말했다. “주유소까지 차 좀 밀어주실래요?” 두 젊은이는 기다렸다는 듯, 차 꽁무니에 매달려 있는 힘을 다해 차를 몇 블록 밀고 갔다. 잠시 후, 힘이 쭉 빠진 그 중 하나가 고개를 들어보니 자신이 막 주유소를 지나친 것이었다. “왜 주유소로 들어가지 않았습니까?” 그가 소리쳤다.

    “저긴 절대 안 가요.” 아가씨가 소리질러 대답했다. “저기선 경품 교환권을 안 주거든요.”
